Main Channels
The main channel is an important part of any in-store drying plant.
Steel main channels are mainly used in connection with our steel silo system, but they can also be placed up against a cast wall. The main channel can be placed up against a gable wall, a side wall, or as a free-standing main channel in the middle. The top of the main channel can in this way be used as a walkway for easy inspection of the silo rooms.
Our EP wooden main channel is built with a skeleton in strong wooden frames that are bolted to the floor with expansion bolts. These wooden frames are clad with strong douglas veneer sheets. The main duct is often used in connection with our Hardwood Drying Floor. The main channel is suitable for all systems. The assembly is very simple and it is available in several sizes to suit the fan capacity.
The wooden main channel is most often used for smaller systems, e.g. grass seed drying plant. In addition, the main channel can be cast.
No matter what type of main channel you need, we have a wide selection of closing dampers for side ducts – both round arch ducts and drive over slotted plates.
- Steel main channels with sloping top, so that the space above the duct is used for storage
- Steel main channels with flat top, so the top plate can be used for walkways
- Wooden main channels - suitable for smaller systems
- Cast main channels
