With its simple, robust construction, LØKKE’s silo system is the market’s most competitive. It can be built without problems in both existing and new buildings, and since the system is self-supporting – all compressive forces are absorbed by the silo itself – there are no requirements for the buildings’ ability to withstand pressure.

No annoying bracing

A LØKKE steel silo is braced at the top by horizontal braces in wire steel every three meters, and at the bottom the stability is ensured by attached bottom rails. The bottom of the silo is therefore completely flat and without stiffeners, which can interfere with the handling of the crops. Filling and emptying takes place without any problems.

Air ducts according to the conditions

The construction of both the main channel and the air channels in the silo is chosen freely according to the conditions. The main channel can thus be placed both inside and outside the silo, while the air channels can either be built on the floor by means of round arch ducts or cast in and covered with drive over slotted plates. The latter solution provides a completely flat, driveable floor, so that the silo can easily be filled and emptied with a front loader.

Easy and quick installation

All parts of the steel silo are delivered in adapted dimensions according to approved drawings, so that there is no need to adjust items on site. This means that the assembly is completed in only a third of the time required by a silo with wooden walls. This is another advantage of the LØKKE steel silo system compared to other silo types.
